‘My husband and son were going to river-raft on the *** River. They helped me find a pleasant spot to wait for them (probably the *** Forest). They left me with food, water, a blanket and a pillow. I had intended to nap but couldn’t. I seemed to enter into a heightened state of awareness, enjoying the mosses, the insects, the birds, the rich textures, the firmness of the ground and trees, the sounds of the bubbling creek, so many amazing treats to the senses. Then I started seeing light anomalies in the creek. But the light took the shape of three figures dancing playfully in and around the creek. I really do not know how much time passed as I watched them before they turned back to light and entered the water. I had no direct contact with them.’ ‘They were playing in a creek and the sound of the creek seemed to get louder.’ Why fairies? ‘I think it might have had something to do with the natural setting.’ What are fairies? ‘I’m not well informed on the subject.’
