‘Around 6.30 am in early November I was walking up the lane where I live on my way to the station (I work in a bank in London and am quite a down-to-earth person). There is a clump of woodland on the lane and only a couple of houses by the woodland. I am always conscious walking up here in the dark so was very vigilant and walking quite briskly. I glanced over and saw a glow of light around a tree it was from the bottom of the tree up to mid trunk. I have had two other experiences and feel there is something ethereal near where I live. I have always associated this with the fey than ghosts etc. I did not see a fairy per se but this glow around the tree made me frightened and I ran further up the lane where there are more houses.’ ‘No [fairy reputation] but there is something other worldly about the lane and I have experienced a couple of strange experiences.’ ‘It could have been anything (or just imagination ) but I have had three experiences on the lane that I always have associated with fairies as opposed to ghosts and aliens. Not sure why but my mind at the time clicked to ‘fairy’!’
