‘I saw it out of the corner of my eye as I walked through a school on my way home at about 6.15 in the morning. It was darkish but there was light from the security lights in the school and from the street lights so I could see quite well. The fairy was human shaped but only about twelve-inches high, and it was transparent – like a jellyfish. It was hovering in a flax bush (Phormium) and in the time it took for me to turn my head to look directly at it – it was gone. Or at least – it looked like it was gone. ‘Human shaped but about twelve inches high and transparent like a jellyfish.’ ‘It looked like a fairy, without the wings.’ ‘[Fairies are] older siblings to the human race.’
