‘It was in the bushes/woods just outside the area known as the Fairy Glade, at Blarney Castle. Out of the corner of my eye I saw something flying about, moving in a manner similar to a dragonfly but bigger than one. I know it wasn’t an insect or bird. It gave me a warm, happy feeling for the rest of the day. And still to this day, seventeen years later, I smile whenever I think about it. And I do often. It’s probably why I like to try and share faeries with everyone through my art.’ ‘Located off the Fairy Glade, I suspect I wasn’t the first to see something.’ ‘I only saw a blur of wings’. [This was an American national visiting Ireland.]
